Five Bridge Inn Wedding

The instant I pulled up to Five Bridge Inn, I could immediately see why Katie and Adam chose this venue to host their nearest and dearest for their wedding. There are so many beautiful spaces on the property and it has the most cozy feeling. One of my favorite things that Katie told on the phone when we first talk was that she had started planning the wedding over the summer before they had actually gotten engaged. She was just so excited to marry Adam, and those same feelings were so clearly present on the wedding day. That combination of excitement mixed with anticipation that gives you that little nervous feeling in your stomach. But the second that Katie had her first look with her father, it seemed to release and you could see her relax and feel more at ease. There were so many deeply emotional moments throughout the day that looking back on to prepare the blog still made me emotional all these months later. Katie had so many special family pieces that had been passed down from generation to generation from her dress hanger to purse to the delicate handkerchief she carried and used to wipe her tears. Adam had a custom suit designed with an image of the solar system and a message to his soon to be wife inside the jacket, which paired perfectly with the cufflinks made from meteors Katie gifted him.

These two know each other inside and out and their ceremony bounced between heartfelt vows that made each other tear up and double over in laughter. They always say you want to find someone you can laugh with and cry with and Katie and Adam have truly found that. I love the way she looked at him throughout the day – beaming with both love and pride. I love how he held her and kissed her and grounded her with his quirky humor. And I also love how much their family and friends loved and accepted them for who they are as well. When we first spoke Katie and Adam said they wanted their day to reflect their love for food, family, and friends in a way that let everyone enjoy themselves and have fun and that’s exactly what their fall wedding did. There was a surprise dinosaur appearance on the dance floor! What a day!
